With all the uncertainty about the May bull sale we welcome anyone who wants to visit us with a view to arranging a private sale.

Just in case there are different rules in Scotland and England for the Stirling and Carlisle sales, we have double entered some of the bulls (Oldguard).

Balthayock Ozone.

Sired by the home bred Meteor. We have been using Lancer semen since we bought him in the 1970s. Having now run out, we kept one of his most promising sons to fulfil the same role for easy calving, short gestation, above average growth and outstanding scrotal circumference to improve fertility in his sons and daughters. We have used Meteor extensively on our commercial heifers and are so pleased with the result that he has been promoted for use on the pedigree herd as well.

Balthayock Oldguard,

Sired by the 2015 RHS Charolais Male and Junior Interbreed Champion Balthayock Imp who sired the Intermediate and Reserve Supreme Champion Balthayock Nanook at Stirling in February 2019 and who went on to sell for £9975.

Balthayock Orville.

Sired by the home bred Meteor, a young Barbican Lancer son who we have been using on some of our pedigree heifers after extensive and successful use in our commercial herd of suckler cows. Lancer has an easy calving EBV of +30.5 and a scrotal circumference figure for fertility of +1.6.

Balthayock Osian.

Sired by Balthayock Imp, the 2015 RHS Male and Junior Interbreed Champion. He also sired the Intermediate and Reserve Overall Champion at Stirling in February 2019, Balthayock Nanook , who went on to sell for £9975.
