Tragedy struck us ten days before the sale when Balthayock President who we thought was one of the best looking bulls we have bred, broke a hind leg just above the hock when he slipped up on some wet concrete.

Breeding bulls can be a heart breaking business.

Our original entry of six bulls which was less than our normal team at this sale anyway, was further depleted by the decision to cull Observer because he had not developed as we had hoped, Pedro blew up and was sent for slaughter, and we sold Percival privately to the Corrigalls in Orkney.

The two bulls we did take sold to good homes so we were able to maintain our record of selling all the bulls we took to Stirling for yet another year.
